TNB Mastering Program: Elevating Riding Skills & Safety for TNB Riders

The TNB Mastering Program, conducted on 13th and 14th October 2025 in Kepala Batas, Pulau Pinang, was a dedicated two-day training initiative created to strengthen the riding skills, safety awareness, and technical precision of Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) riders.

With the increasing demand for safe and efficient mobility in daily operations, this program focused heavily on defensive riding techniques, real-world hazard management, and advanced motorcycle control — ensuring every participant could ride with confidence, discipline, and professional-level awareness.

Key Highlights of the Program

1️⃣ Safety Talk: Understanding Rider Mindset & Hazard Awareness

Participants began with a comprehensive safety briefing led by MASRA Academy’s certified trainers.
The session covered:

• Developing a defensive riding mindset
• How to identify risks before they occur
• Common accident triggers for fleet riders
• Safe road behaviour during operations

This knowledge helped riders rethink how they approach routine travel and workplace routes.

2️⃣ Hands-On Advanced Riding Drills

The practical segment of the program challenged riders to refine their skills through structured on-ground exercises such as:

• Slow-speed stability
• Emergency braking control
• Cornering accuracy & line management
• Hazard avoidance manoeuvres
• Throttle, brake & clutch coordination

These drills allowed participants to experience real-life scenarios in a safe training environment, reinforcing the principles of defensive riding through direct practice.

Empowering Safer Mobility Within TNB

A total of 14 TNB riders successfully completed the program, demonstrating strong discipline, commitment, and willingness to improve their operational riding standards.

By the end of the training, participants showed clear improvements in:

• Machine handling
• Spatial awareness
• Reaction timing
• Rider confidence
• Risk anticipation

This aligns with TNB’s ongoing mission to ensure every rider is protected with the right skills, mindset, and safety practices.
