PERKESO Cubprix Safety Program: Elevating Rider Skills Through Defensive Riding Education
The PERKESO Cubprix Program, held from 18th to 19th October 2025 in Pulau Pinang, gathered riders from all backgrounds for an engaging two-day initiative focused on motorcycle safety, skill development, and defensive riding awareness.
The program was designed to blend excitement and education, offering riders a hands-on opportunity to learn, practice, and refine essential riding techniques under professional supervision.
Hands-On Skill Challenges for Real-World Riding
One of the key highlights was the skill challenge session, where participants tested:
- Balance and slow-speed control
- Smooth throttle response
- Precision handling
- Coordination in confined spaces
These activities helped riders experience how proper technique and discipline can significantly reduce mistakes that often lead to accidents.
Live Demonstrations by MASRA Academy Trainers
Certified trainers from MASRA Academy conducted live defensive riding demonstrations, covering:
- Safe braking habits
- Cornering stability
- Hazard anticipation
- Controlled manoeuvring
- Rider positioning & posture
These real-time demonstrations allowed riders to visually understand how defensive riding techniques play a role in preventing collisions, especially in unpredictable road situations.
A Program Designed to Prioritize Safety First
As an open-to-public program, PERKESO Cubprix successfully fostered a strong culture of safety, aligning with PERKESO’s mission to reduce road-related workplace accidents.
The initiative reinforced three core values:
- Safety Awareness — Understanding risks before they occur
- Rider Discipline — Maintaining consistency and focus on the road
- Technical Mastery — Applying correct techniques for safer riding
By combining fun challenges with structured learning, the program effectively shaped participants into more prepared and responsible riders.
Program Objective
To promote road safety awareness, improve rider handling skills through hands-on challenges, and encourage the adoption of defensive riding habits among public riders.
